(The following blog should not be taken seriously for it is merely a metaphor for trust and care)
If I was to go to some random location with a group of people walking about, pulled out a gun, shoved it in my mouth, then pulled the trigger....exactly how many people would care?
Sure, people there will react. Though, for the most part, they'll only react tot the fact that someone just got killed before their eyes and now they've failed at going their entire, care-free lives without seeing a dead body. At the moment, they'll freak out. They might call a paramedic, although I doubt they'll do it to save a life. They'll only do it to get the dead body out of the way soon enough. After a day, they won't care that you're dead. All they'll care about is the fact that they want the "bad" to go away.
It's sad how this may apply to friends too....
It's amazing how many friends we claim yet so few we can really trust. You kill yourself in front of them, but would they care that one of their close companions have died, or will they react to the fact that death has come so close to them?
There are only a select few people that will even bother to shed a tear if you died. Those are the people that you hold on to for the rest of your lives. Everyone else will probably brush off your death as if it was just some schmo passing away.
I'm glad I know who my friends are so I can put down the gun.
